Report blames 2008 food price explosion on financial speculators, not biofuels.
Another recent report, this time published by Harpers magazine, demonstrates that Biofuels were not responsible for the 2008 food crisis. The report by Frederick Kaufman, titled “The Food Bubble: How Wall Street starved millions and got away with it”, indicates that financial speculation involving commodity markets was the issue primarily responsible for the food prices crisis of 2008.
